On the 8th of October 1905. was established a school in the framework of the Institute which by the Statute of the same year was named C.K. AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL AND TEST CANTER IN SPLIT.

"C.K. agricultural school and testing canter in Split has a task of promoting agriculture by systematic tests and observations."

The task of the Head Department in Split is as follows:

1. expert handling of all research in the field, unless directed otherwise in individual cases;

2. collect meteorologic and pedologic observation needed for evaluation of agricultural features of individual regions in Dalmatia, and use those observations

3. Question profitability of agricultural works that exist or are in the making, and is it possible to improve them, in regards to practical testing;

4. aid with expertise in perfecting agricultural crafts, those in existence, and in installing new such crafts that are considered to be valuable in increasing incomes in Dalmatia by way of the land;

5.chemically, microscopically research production materials that are directly or indirectly related to agriculture;

6. research plant diseases and eradicate them;

7. prepare practical lectures for study purposes of those branches in agriculture and agricultural trade, the program of the courses must be approved by the Ministry;

8. the agricultural school will hold a course for a year for the Dalmatian youth, if enough students apply

9. professionally participate in work taken up by the state in order to enhance agriculture in Croatia
